Banana peel as shoe polish?

I saw a link on the web the other day that the inside of a banana skin contained potassium, the active ingredient in shoe polish. As a good scientist, I tried it. I didn't notice a difference, but they weren't very scuffed to start with.

Can you tell which shoe got polished?

I got a Dymo label maker

On Thursday, I got a label maker, and started labelling things around
the house. It feels good to be organised.
